Welcome to the 451 CAOS Insight Update from The 451 Group's Commercial Adoption of Open Source (CAOS) Research Service. In this edition, we check in on open source database support provider Continuent, which recently extended its MySQL replication to Oracle Database. We also cover open source server configuration and automation provider CFEngine, which joins other vendors in responding to greater enterprise demand for devops-type implementations and uses that join application development and deployment via IT operations. Also this time, we look at Neo Technology and how the open source graph database company is integrating its software with the popular Spring framework. We also cover open source Web server vendor NGINX, which is seeking continued community and commercial growth of its technology.

We would like to note that this will be the final CAOS Insight Update newsletter, but readers will now be able to take advantage of our new 451 Research website and CAOS Dashboard, which provide access to our latest reports, blogs and other analysis.

As part of The 451 Group's Commercial Adoption of Open Source (CAOS) Research Service, we also produce a regular podcast call for CAOS clients. The podcast includes a roundup of news, developments and disruption in open source software by 451 Group senior analysts Matt Aslett and Jay Lyman. The call is in listen-only mode, although we welcome questions, topics or feedback . Future podcasts will be previewed in our regular The Daily 451 newsletter prior to the podcast.

Archives of past calls are available as a public podcast through iTunes or from the CAOS Theory podcast site. Feel free to share this link with anyone.
