Analyst, Infrastructure Software

Karin is an Analyst with The 451 Group's Infrastructure Computing for the Enterprise (ICE) practice. With a key focus on workspace virtualization, Karin also specializes in systems management in distributed desktop environments. She joined the ICE group in September 2008 after heading the daily research operations for The 451's M&A team as a lead editor and project manager. In 2007 Karin co-headed the M&A KnowledgeBase team's roll-out of the 451 KB Daily offering, frequently contributing as a writer.

Before joining The 451 Group in 2005, Karin worked for San Francisco-based online search start-up EoExchange, developing telecommunications and finance taxonomies while working with emerging enterprise text analytics and search software. Karin's IT industry experience began in 1997 as a research and administrative assistant in Merrill Lynch's Palo Alto technology investment banking office.

Karin holds a Bachelor's Degree in English from Humboldt State University, where she also studied Geology.
