Steve covers network management, identity management and network security for The 451 Group.
Before joining the 451 analyst team, Steve spent 10 years as a member of the senior editorial staff at Network Magazine, including leading the publication as Editor in Chief for five years. Under his leadership, the magazine received Maggie Awards for 'Best Computing Magazine' and 'Most-Improved Magazine,' recognizing the publication for its editorial excellence, as well as a Jesse H. Neal Award, one of the journalism industry's most prestigious editorial honors. Steve also edited many editions of Network Tutorial, a comprehensive reference work about networking technology, and is the author of 'Guide to Managing PC Networks' for Prentice Hall PTR.
Prior to his experience at Network Magazine, Steve worked for ComputerLand Corp as Products Editor for the company's customer magazine. He also worked as the creator and manager of the software evaluation department, which distributed a biweekly newsletter to over 500 reseller outlets. Steve's interest and expertise in network management date back to his efforts to promote and develop the networking abilities of ComputerLand resellers.
Steve holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Denver.
