As Research Associate for Financial Markets with The 451 Group, Adam assists in the development of the firm's enterprise IT M&A analysis by extracting and summarizing M&A deals and maintaining the 451 M&A transaction database.

Previously Adam worked in research and editorial capacities for various database and journalistic publications. Most recently he worked as an Ontologist at LookSmart, an Internet directory operator. He also worked at Futuredex.com, where he served as Associate Editor and the chief writer for Futuredex Magazine, in addition to developing and maintaining a database of private companies and VC firms for the company's VC matching services. During the business-to-business Internet exchange boom of the late 1990s, Adam worked for NetMarketMakers as researcher for its Knowledgebase. NetMarketMakers was then purchased by Jupiter Media Metrix, where Adam went on to develop content for the firm's JXNetwork line of business-related websites.

Adam has written about a variety of subjects, including finance, information technology and lunar exploration, and has given lectures regarding chaos theory and its impact on the arts. He spent his youth in Europe and Japan, before moving to Washington DC. He now lives in San Francisco, where he studies Kung Fu and Chinese medicine.
