Janos has lived in San Francisco since the early days of Silicon Valley, participating in its development both as a journalist and technical writer.
He has been feature editor of the Bay Area's Post Newspaper Group for the past 20 years, having worked as a writer and editor for the New York Herald Tribune, Honolulu Star-Bulletin, Seattle Times, and San Jose Mercury News.
Janos has contributed technical and product documentation, white papers and on-line help to companies including Intel, AirTouch, TeleVideo, Amdahl and Platinum technology.
He received an Alicia Patterson Fund grant to do research in Central Europe and his native Hungary. He holds degrees from Washington Square College, New York University, and the University of Hawaii where he also taught journalism with the rank of associate professor.
