Before his time at Current Analysis, Max worked as a freelance writer and industry consultant, contributing to HostingTech magazine and a number of domestic and foreign trade, business and general-interest publications, as well as working with several leading consultancies on business and marketplace strategies within the IT and telecom industries.

In addition, Max was a senior writer at Inter@ctive Week, a standard-setting Internet business and technology magazine, where he covered the business models and technologies of the Internet boom era. He has also served as a senior editor of ISP Business News, a newsletter dedicated to describing the inner workings of ISPs for senior executives. Before Max was drawn into the IT and telecom industries, he wrote about multilateral lending and oil pipelines for the Bloomberg News service.

Max holds an MA in Journalism and Public Affairs from American University in Washington DC, and a BA in Communications, Journalism and Broadcast from Belmont University in Nashville, Tennessee and Moscow State University.
